Regional Business Partnership Support

The Otago Chamber of Commerce manages the RBP contract for our region. Details on the support available for businesses can be found here. This may include a mentor, R+D funding through Callaghan Innovation or capability voucher support for training.

Tourism Businesses Specific Support

Minister Stuart Nash announced a fund to help support tourism businesses (and those impacted by tourism). Details of the first two phases of this support has been unveiled. Click here to find out details.


The following two payments are available to support businesses and their employees through the next phase of the pandemic:

💰 The COVID-19 Short-Term Absence Payment is available for businesses, including self-employed people, to help pay their employees who cannot work from home while they wait for a COVID-19 test result. Click here. 

💰 The COVID-19 Leave Support Scheme is available to employers, including self-employed people, to help pay their employees who have been advised to self-isolate because of COVID-19 and can't work from home during that period. Click here.
