Update on the ROVE (Reform of Vocational Education)

In 2019, the Government has undertaken a number of reviews and engagement initiatives around reforming New Zealand's vocational sector to ensure businesses have the right staff now and in the future. Some of the highlights are:

• New Zealand Institute of Skills & Technology (IST, The Institute – a working title)
• Workforce Development Councils (WDCs)
• Centres of Vocational Excellence
• Regional Skills Leadership Groups (RSLGS)
