Do you want to grow your business in 2020? Maybe you want to get more connected with others in business? Why not join the network of almost 300 local businesses who regularly connect to nurture the Upper Clutha business community.
Ignite Wanaka, the local arm of the Chamber of Commerce network, is putting the shout out for new members in 2020.
Ignite Wanaka helps empower the local business community through connecting people, growing businesses (and your teams) and advocating on key issues.
To celebrate the start of the event year Ignite is hosting a launch event to encourage businesses who’ve always thought about getting involved with Ignite to come along and find out more about what’s on offer.
Ignite is expanding its support of the business community hosting 50+ workshops and events during the year covering everything from training in key business skills such as law, accountancy, HR and marketing, to networking events in the evening and before work.
Ignite Wanaka Executive Officer Naomi Lindsay says the launch event is the “perfect way to get involved” with Ignite and to learn more about the up-coming year.
“It’s going to be another big year for our community and Ignite has a seat at the table when it comes to those big issues. We’ve identified our five key priorities for the year as the airport, visitor levy town centre plan, labour force issues and regional transport connectivity,” says Naomi.
“It’s important we provide businesses with the facts and information to make informed decisions about our future. We’re also ramping up our events this year to help businesses succeed and grow. We’re a diverse group with members across all sectors of the business world, from hospitality and tourism, to construction, trades, services and professional services.”
“We often hear that people want to join Ignite but just never get around to it. It’s a bit like a gym membership, once you’re in you are hooked and more likely to come along to our events regularly.
“If you own, run or manage a business in the Upper Clutha you will benefit from being involved with Ignite. It could be you need a sounding board every now and then for your crazy new idea, want to invest in your team’s personal development, showcase and market your business or maybe you want to give back and mentor another business owner. Whatever your goal is we can help,” adds Naomi.
The 2020 launch event is on 30 January 5-7pm. RSVP essential via www.ignitewanaka.co.nz – click on events.
