Join us for this networking lunch - a great opportunity to catch up with other locals and businesses over a relaxed lunch and hear from Lynley Lischner
Managing Director Communicators Advisory Ltd
After starting her career as a lawyer, Lynley has worked as a senior brand marketer for several of New Zealand’s most high-profile companies, including Vodafone, Air New Zealand, Spark and TVNZ, and is a past-winner of the NZ Marketer of the Year Award.
While at Vodafone, she led a significant sponsorship portfolio that supported the start-up’s entry and rapid growth in the NZ market. From this role Lynley went on to lead the Brand team at Air New Zealand, and then onto Spark NZ where she was on the team that instigated and launched the rebrand of Telecom to Spark.
Lynley then became General Manager Marketing at TVNZ before embarking on her true passion which is brand strategy – guiding and advising businesses of any size on how to build a powerful presence that supports business growth. Core to this work is facilitating business leaders through a process to create a simple strategic framework that will guide decision-making, and powerfully align employees to the vision and purpose of that business.
Alongside Lynley’s brand and marketing consultancy - Brand New World, she owns Communicators, a specialist talent placement consultancy for Marketing, PR and Communications professionals for corporate, agency, government or not-for-profit roles. Career coaching and personal brand development are additional services offered by Communicators.
Lynley was awarded NZ Marketer of the Year early in her career, has advised and been a Trustee for a number of not for profits organisations, is a current member of PRINZ and a past mentor for NZ Business Mentors Association and the NZ Law Graduates Mentoring programme. With these roles and a rich and varied career, plus the learning and experience gained from that, she is passionate about supporting aspiring young and mid-career professionals and new business owners.
Lynley claims to be an Otago returnee, having grown up in nearby Tapanui and all her holidays were in Wanaka. She has two children in their mid-twenties who are in their early careers. Taking advantage of now being based in Wanaka with her partner Fraser, Lynley is enjoying the wonderful off-road cycle tracks, walks, the mountains and lake, the outstanding food and wine of the district, and most importantly the friendly people.
