Ignite Wanaka Women in Business Christmas Lunch with Gemma McCaw

10 tickets have become available - email hello@ignitewanaka.co.nz to secure your ticket today!

This year we are privileged to have the wonderful Gemma McCaw as our guest speaker. Splitting her time between Christchurch and Wanaka, Gemma is very much a Wanaka Woman in Business with a varied career as you will see below.

This year, based on feedback, we will have one speaker, allowing more time to connect, share stories and celebrate the year that's been and catchup before the busy holiday period.

Once again we are partnering with the talented Rachelle from The Platter Share for our yummy lunch, with dessert provided by Kirsty and the team at Pembroke Patisserie. Keeping with the Christmas lunch theme of outstanding venues, this year we will be hosted by Sarah Burdon and the team at The Camp, in their stunning Beehive events dome.

Menu will be launched soon, but please advise any dietaries when booking. Please state dietaries in the first empty field after your name. If booking a table, you do not need to supply individual names when booking, but please supply before the event to comply with covid regulations.

About Gemma McCaw

After drawing the curtain on her stellar hockey career, three-time Olympian Gemma McCaw is dedicated to sharing her skills and knowledge in the field of health and wellness.

With a degree in Sport and Exercise Science and a Diploma in Positive Psychology and Wellbeing, the Performance Wellbeing co-founder works with both individuals and groups to help them reach their full potential. Her innate understanding and experience gained from her decade-long Black Sticks journey has given her a unique insight into resilience-building, teamwork and fostering good habits. It’s also given her the skills to cope with the highs and lows of high-performance sport, and the ability to withstand the pressure of life in the public eye; all learnings which can be transferred to everyday life.

As a busy mum to daughters Charlotte and Grace, she knows all too well the challenges many of us face on a daily basis when it comes to juggling the demands of home, work, happiness and health. But she continues to learn and grow, constantly inspired by the people she meets through her work and personal life.

In her role as a New Zealand Olympic Ambassador, Gemma visits schools and talks to students about the importance of friendship, values and respect in sport and in life. She’s also a proud patron of the Chalky Carr Trust, which raises funds for those affected by cancer.

Gemma has a unique ability to connect with people of all ages and from all walks of life, and is committed to helping others build the confidence to achieve their very best. She is passionate about helping people understand that small steps towards health and wellbeing can go a long way.
